  • Do you prefer units or skill-based activities?
    • K-2 activities based (some units)
    • 3-12 unit based (week of games or something different between units)
  • Is it important to be a healthy role model as a PE teacher?
    • Students need to see us living a healthy lifestyle
    • We need to send the message, "Everything in moderation."
  • What's most important in your classroom? Aerobic Activity/Movement or Assessment

  • Which test is more important? Fitnessgram or Presidential Youth Fitness Test
    • Many like Fitnessgram to help students track progress
    • Dr. Lynott is looking for volunteer schools for his college students to administer the Fitnessgram test.
  • How do you motivate high school students?
    • Track student progress
  • How do you help students with a higher BMI?
    • Discuss eating healthy and exercise
    • Some teachers don't share the information with students because school nurses are gathering BMI information
    • Education is important
  • What are your rules for PE class? How do you manage your class?
    • Classroom management with music (Joe Dunn)
